A firm belief I hold is that makeup is not something to hide behind, but rather that it’s there to help one express herself creatively and define and redefine her individuality. Makeup has truly transformative qualities, and in that fact lies the path to discovering one’s self image, which is a very positive and empowering thing.

In that spirit, this blog features beauty tips, recommendations and reviews, covering cosmetics (eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, lip gloss, brushes, etc.), skincare products, hair care products and women’s fragrances. In the spirit of fairness, I’ll also occasionally cover men’s products, such as fragrances, skincare and shaving solutions with the advice of my boyfriend, who set this blog up for me.

I am the author, a 26-year-old woman living , working and going to grad school in Washington, DC. I’m an unabashed beauty junkie with a penchant for eyeshadow palettes, bold and bright lipstick, glitter nail varnish and all sorts of masks, scrubs, serums and moisturizers for my face.

Opinions are something I have plenty of, so that crossed with my obsession for cosmetics is what inspired me to start this blog. This is mainly just something to entertain myself with, but if I happen to get a few readers along the way, or even influence your beauty choices in some small way, then I really couldn’t ask for more.
